Refurbished SFF Business Desktop

The HP EliteDesk 800 G5 SFF is a refurbished small-form-factor desktop built around an Intel Core i5-8500 six-core processor running at 3.0GHz. It ships with 16GB of memory and a 256GB NVMe SSD, plus Windows 11 Pro 64-bit pre-installed. A USB keyboard and mouse are included in the box.

Office Teams and Home Workers

This system suits office teams and home workers who need a compact, quiet machine for everyday productivity, video calls and line-of-business applications. Buyers who require discrete graphics performance for CAD, rendering or gaming should look at a different form factor. The slim chassis limits internal expansion to low-profile cards only.

256GB NVMe Boot Drive

The single specification that decides fit is the 256GB NVMe boot drive, which delivers fast start-up and application loading for typical workloads. Users with large local data sets or multiple virtual machines will need to add secondary storage. No additional drive bays are mentioned in the specifications.

Questions about this item

Will the i5-8500 and its 9 MB L3 cache work with my older USB 2.0 peripherals?

Yes, the system includes two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, one of which supports PowerShare, so legacy devices connect directly without adapters.

How can I verify the i5-8500 and 16GB memory are running correctly after setup?

Open Windows 11 Pro Task Manager and confirm six cores at 3.0 GHz base speed and 16 GB of memory are reported under the Performance tab.

What comes in the box and what must I buy separately for the EliteDesk 800 G5 SFF?

The unit ships with a USB keyboard, USB mouse and Windows 11 Pro installed; a display cable for DisplayPort 1.2 or HDMI and a monitor are not included.
