Business Small Form Desktop

The HP EliteDesk 800 G5 is a compact business desktop built around a 9th generation Intel Core i5 9500 six-core processor running at 3.00 GHz. It ships with 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB NVMe PCIe M.2 solid-state drive. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and the chassis uses air cooling in a black and silver finish.

Upgrade From Older Office PCs

This unit replaces ageing tower or small-form desktops that rely on spinning hard drives and dual-core CPUs. The jump is worth it when daily workloads involve multiple browser tabs, office suites and video calls that benefit from six threads and NVMe responsiveness. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 handles dual-monitor output through two DisplayPort connections.

Suits General Office And Home Admin

The system suits buyers who need a ready-to-deploy Windows 11 Pro machine for productivity, web apps and light content viewing. It is not for buyers who want more storage or memory without adding parts themselves, nor for workloads that require a discrete graphics card or built-in Wi-Fi. A monitor, keyboard and mouse are not included.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the HP EliteDesk 800 G5 Small Form Factor case so I can check if it fits my desk space?

The EliteDesk 800 G5 Small Form Factor is a compact business desktop designed to fit in tight office or home spaces; the chassis uses a slim layout that sits horizontally or vertically with the optional stand.

How do I add more DDR4 memory to the 8GB already installed, and which slot do people often forget to populate first?

Open the tool-less chassis, locate the two SODIMM slots on the motherboard, and insert the new DDR4 module into the lower slot first for proper dual-channel operation.

When will the 512GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD need replacement, and what capacity does the M.2 slot support?

The 512GB NVMe drive has no fixed lifespan; replace it when SMART health drops or capacity runs low. The M.2 slot accepts standard 2280 PCIe NVMe SSDs for larger upgrades.
