Compact business desktop

The HP EliteDesk 800 G6 Mini is a small-form-factor PC built for office environments. It ships with Windows 11 Pro installed and activated, ready for immediate deployment. The 35 W Intel Core i5-10500T six-core processor handles everyday productivity workloads. This unit suits IT teams that need a space-saving device with a standard 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet connection.

Thermals and power

Air cooling keeps the 35 W processor within its thermal envelope during typical business tasks. The low base power draw helps reduce energy costs across a fleet of desktops. Fan noise stays unobtrusive in quiet meeting rooms or open-plan offices. The external AC adapter matches the system's rated wattage for efficient power delivery.

Deciding specification

The 256 GB NVMe SSD determines how much local data the system can hold without external storage. Buyers who need more capacity for large media libraries or local databases will find the drive limiting. The single 8 GB DDR4 module leaves one slot free for a memory upgrade. Systems requiring wireless networking must add a separate Wi-Fi adapter.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the EliteDesk 800 G6 Mini behind an HP EliteDisplay, and what step is often missed?

Use the optional HP mounting bracket that screws into the VESA holes on the monitor; the step people miss is removing the rubber feet first so the bracket sits flush.

Which component will likely need replacement first, and what specification must the new module match?

The 8 GB DDR4 memory is the usual upgrade candidate; any added module must be DDR4 to fit the SO-DIMM slots.

What thermal limit appears first when the i5-10500T runs at 3.8 GHz under sustained load?

The 35 W power envelope caps turbo duration; once the cooling system reaches its steady state the processor drops toward 2.3 GHz.
