EliteOne 800 G4 23.8" FHD All-in-One

This HP EliteOne 800 G4 is a 23.8-inch full-HD all-in-one desktop powered by an 8th Generation Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor running at 3.0 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 4.10 GHz. It comes equipped with 32 GB of DDR4 SODIMM memory and a 512 GB 2.5-inch solid-state drive. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 drives the 1920 x 1080 IPS anti-glare panel. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed and a USB keyboard and mouse are included.

Upgrade from older all-in-ones

The jump is worthwhile when you need the space savings of a single chassis without sacrificing six processing cores or 32 GB of memory. Integrated graphics handle typical office workloads and video playback, while the 512 GB SSD provides responsive boot and application loading. If your current system relies on a hard drive or has less than 16 GB of RAM, this configuration delivers a noticeable responsiveness improvement for multitasking and large documents.

Suits office professionals and hot-desk environments

The compact footprint, built-in 1080p webcam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and DVD-RW drive cover most corporate collaboration needs. Buyers who require discrete graphics for 3D rendering, video editing or gaming should look elsewhere. Users needing more than 512 GB of internal storage or support for multiple external high-resolution displays will need a different platform.

Questions about this item

What size drive bay does the 2.5" 512 GB SSD use and can I add another drive?

The installed SSD occupies a 2.5-inch bay; the chassis also supports a second M.2 NVME drive for dual-drive configurations.

How do I open the HP EliteOne 800 G4 23.8" to upgrade the 32 GB DDR4 SODIMM and what step is often missed?

Lay the unit face-down, remove the stand, unscrew the rear cover, then release the SODIMM latches; many forget to press the latches fully outward before pulling the module.

Which component will need replacement first in the HP EliteOne 800 G4 23.8" and how is it accessed?

The DVDRW drive is the only moving part; it slides out after removing the rear cover and releasing a single retention screw.
