HP EliteOne 800 G4 All-in-One

This 23.8-inch FHD touch all-in-one desktop integrates an Intel i5-8500 hexa-core processor with 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB SSD. It ships with Windows 10 Pro, a USB keyboard, and a USB mouse. The design suits office workers who want a compact, ready-to-use workstation without a separate tower.

Thermals noise and power

The system relies on integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 and a low-profile chassis for everyday productivity workloads. Typical operation stays quiet during document editing, web browsing, and video calls. Power draw remains modest compared with discrete-graphics desktops, keeping heat output low in standard office environments.

Touch display and memory

The 1920 x 1080 touchscreen enables direct interaction with Windows 10 Pro for presentations or kiosk use. The 32 GB DDR4 SODIMM configuration supports heavy multitasking across many browser tabs and business applications. Buyers who need a non-touch panel or user-upgradeable graphics should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I install additional DDR4 memory in the EliteOne 800 G4, and which step is often missed?

Open the rear access panel, insert the 204-pin DDR4 SO-DIMM firmly until the retention clips click, then replace the panel — many forget to seat both clips fully.

Which component will need replacement first during the life of this all-in-one?

The 2.5-inch 512 GB SSD has a finite write endurance and will likely require replacement before the soldered processor or integrated graphics.

What thermal limit appears first when the i5-8500 runs at 4.10 GHz boost for extended periods?

The compact chassis forces the CPU to throttle from its 4.10 GHz turbo back toward the 3.0 GHz base once the internal heatsink saturates.
