Rugged 11.6" Chromebook for education

The HP Fortis G1m is an 11.6 inch touchscreen clamshell running ChromeOS on a MediaTek Kompanio 520 octa-core ARM processor with 8 GB of memory and 64 GB of flash storage. It is built to withstand MIL-STD 810 and education drop testing and resists keycap picking. The device receives automatic ChromeOS updates through June 2035.

HD display and single HDMI port limit external

The integrated graphics drive the built-in 1366 x 768 panel and one HDMI port for an external monitor. The 180 degree lay-flat hinge aids collaboration but the single video output restricts multi-monitor setups. Wireless connectivity relies on the onboard Bluetooth and Wi-Fi radios; no wired Ethernet port is present.

Verify ChromeOS fits your software

Confirm that your required applications run on ChromeOS or via web and Android compatibility layers. Check that your existing accessories connect through the available USB ports, HDMI, or Bluetooth. The 64 GB internal storage cannot be upgraded, so plan for cloud or external storage if you need more space.
