Enterprise mono MFP for workgroups

The HP LaserJet Enterprise 500 MFP M525C is a monochrome multifunction laser printer built for office workgroups. It prints and copies at up to 42 ppm with a 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution. A 1000-sheet input capacity supports high-volume daily throughput. Ethernet connectivity integrates the device directly into a wired network infrastructure.

Suited for wired offices needing mono output

This device suits teams that require fast black-and-white print, copy and scan functions over a stable Ethernet link. It is not for buyers who need colour output, wireless connectivity or a smaller desktop footprint. Offices without a wired network drop should consider other options.

Ethernet-only network interface

The sole network interface is a wired Ethernet (RJ-45) port. There is no built-in Wi-Fi or USB direct-print support listed in the specifications. Verify that your environment provides a cabled connection before purchase.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 500-sheet or 1000-sheet input capacity for the M525C?

The unit ships with a maximum paper input capacity of 1000 sheets, so there is no smaller tray option to select.

What does 42 ppm actually deliver in daily office use?

The engine prints up to 42 monochrome pages per minute, which translates to roughly one double-sided A4 page every 1.5 seconds once warmed up.

How does the Ethernet port limit network speed?

The built-in RJ-45 connection runs at standard Gigabit Ethernet rates, capping throughput at 1 Gbps for print jobs and management traffic.
