HP LaserJet Enterprise 500 MFP M525C

This HP LaserJet Enterprise 500 MFP M525C is a monochrome laser multifunction printer built for office workgroups. It prints and copies at up to 42 pages per minute with a 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution. A maximum paper input capacity of 1000 sheets supports high-volume daily tasks. Ethernet connectivity integrates the device directly into a wired network.

Suited for teams needing fast mono output

Organisations that require colour printing should look elsewhere because this unit is monochrome only. Buyers who need wireless or USB direct-print capability will not find those interfaces on this model. The printer ships without toner installed, so a separate cartridge purchase is required before first use.

Ethernet (RJ-45) wired network interface

The sole connectivity technology listed is Ethernet (RJ-45), which determines how the printer joins your infrastructure. If your environment relies on Wi-Fi, USB host printing or other protocols, this device will not connect without additional hardware. Verify that your network ports and cabling match this interface before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How loud is the HP LaserJet Enterprise 500 MFP M525C when it prints at 42 ppm for a full shift?

The printer runs at typical office noise levels for a monochrome laser device; the newly installed fuser and rollers keep mechanical sounds low during continuous 42 ppm output.

Which network cable must I already have to connect the CF118A to my LAN?

A standard Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable with RJ-45 plugs is required; the printer ships with a network cable, so you can connect it immediately.

Will the M525C accept 1200 x 1200 dpi print jobs sent from a Windows 7 workstation?

Yes, the 1200 x 1200 dpi engine processes jobs from legacy Windows drivers available on the HP support site, and the updated firmware handles current network protocols.
