The HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP M430f is a refurbished multifunction device built for small workteams and SMBs that need print, scan, copy and fax in one unit. It produces black output at up to 40 ppm with a 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution. The first page emerges in 6.3 seconds. The scanner uses a CIS element and accepts documents up to 8.5 x 11.7 in. Colour fax is supported. It runs on Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, 7, macOS 10.12 through 10.15, Android and iOS.

Dynamic security limits third-party toner

This printer only accepts cartridges that carry a new or reused HP chip. Firmware updates periodically reinforce the block on non-HP chips, so cartridges that worked before may stop working. Organisations that rely on compatible or remanufactured toner without an HP chip will find those supplies unusable. The restriction is enforced in hardware and cannot be disabled by the user.

Heavy unit needs two people to position

At 28.6800 lb the M430f is too heavy for a single person to lift safely onto a desk or shelf. Plan for two people and a sturdy, level surface. The supplied power cord and network cable are short, so locate the printer near a mains socket and a network port. Driver packages for older Windows or macOS versions may need manual download from the HP support site because the in-box media covers only current releases.
