HP LaserJet Pro M201DW monochrome printer

The HP LaserJet Pro M201DW is a monochrome laser printer built for small offices and home users who need fast black-only output. It prints up to 26 pages per minute at 600 x 600 dpi resolution. The bundle includes a new generic toner cartridge rated for 2500 pages.

Suits buyers who want wireless duplex printing

This model suits buyers who want wireless connectivity and automatic two-sided printing without a colour engine. It is not for users who require colour output, higher paper capacity, or a brand-new unit with a full manufacturer warranty.

260-sheet input capacity with Wi-Fi 802.11

The single specification that decides fit is the 260-sheet paper tray combined with Wi-Fi 802.11 connectivity. If your daily volume exceeds that tray or you need wired Ethernet as the primary link, look at a different device.

Questions about this item

What paper tray capacity does the M201DW need to hold a full ream?

The input tray holds up to 260 sheets, so a standard 500-sheet ream will not fit in one load.

Which step is often missed when connecting the printer to Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n?

After selecting the network SSID, you must enter the passphrase on the printer control panel; skipping this leaves the printer offline.

When will the included CF283X toner need replacing?

The bundled cartridge yields approximately 2500 pages; replace it when print density fades or the printer signals low toner.
