Home-office all-in-one

The HP OfficeJet Pro 8125 is a colour inkjet all-in-one built for professionals who work from home and need reliable everyday output. It prints, copies and scans on a single device with support for Windows, macOS, Linux and Chrome OS. The unit weighs 17.6000 lb and includes three months of free Instant Ink delivery.

Print volume and quality limits

Black and colour print speeds reach 20 ppm with a 15-second first-page-out time. Black resolution is 1200 x 1200 dpi and colour reaches 4800 x 1200 dpi for sharp text and vibrant graphics. Copy quality tops out at 600 dpi, and the CIS scanner handles documents up to 8.5 x 11.7 in. Borderless photos are supported on photo and brochure paper up to 8.5 x 11 in or 210 x 297 mm.

Upgrade context and chip constraint

This model replaces a basic single-function printer when scanning and copying are needed daily. The jump is worthwhile for users who want faster throughput and automatic ink replenishment without manual monitoring. It will not suit buyers who require third-party cartridges, because dynamic security blocks any cartridge without a new or reused HP chip.

Questions about this item

Will the 8125 connect to my existing Windows 10 desktop and macOS 13 Ventura laptop without extra drivers?

The printer supports Windows 10, Windows 11, macOS 13 Ventura and other listed systems, so it will work with both machines using built-in or downloadable software.

How can I verify the 8125 is printing at the rated 20 ppm and 1200 x 1200 dpi black quality after setup?

Print a test page from the HP Smart app or driver; it reports the achieved speed and resolution, confirming the 20 ppm and 1200 x 1200 dpi specifications.

Does the box contain starter ink cartridges and a power cord, or do I need to purchase them separately?

The package includes the printer, set-up cartridges, power cord and documentation; only additional paper or replacement cartridges need separate purchase.
