HP OMEN 45L Gaming Desktop

The HP OMEN 45L GT22-3000i is a new gaming desktop built around an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K processor with 20 cores and 20 threads. It pairs that CPU with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card carrying 12 GB of GDDR7 memory. The system includes 16 GB of Kingston FURY DDR5-6000 XMP RGB memory in a dual-channel kit. Storage combines a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 NVMe M.2 SSD with a 1 TB 7200 rpm SATA HDD.

Buyers who want a ready-to-play Windows 11 Home

This desktop suits buyers who want a pre-built Windows 11 Home machine with an 850 W 80 Plus Gold ATX power supply and Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 plus Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. It is not for buyers who need a monitor included in the box. It is not for builders who want to choose their own memory speed or capacity beyond the installed 16 GB kit. It is not for users who require an internal optical drive for physical media.

12 GB GDDR7 graphics memory

The RTX 5070 ships with 12 GB of dedicated GDDR7 video memory. That frame-buffer size is the single specification that decides whether this card fits a target resolution and texture budget. If a workload demands more video memory, this configuration will not meet it.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Kingston FURY DDR5-6000 XMP modules, and what BIOS step is often missed?

Seat the two 8 GB sticks in the motherboard DDR5 slots, then enter BIOS and enable the XMP profile so the memory runs at 6000 MT/s instead of the default JEDEC speed.

Which storage drive will likely need replacement first under heavy write workloads?

The 1 TB PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 NVMe M.2 SSD handles the OS and active games, so its write endurance will be reached before the 1 TB 7200 rpm SATA HDD used for bulk storage.

What thermal limit appears first during extended gaming on the RTX 5070 12 GB GDDR7?

The GPU core temperature hits its boost ceiling before the 850 W 80 Plus Gold power supply reaches its output limit, so sustained clocks are capped by the card's own thermal target.
