17.3" 240Hz QHD Display

The HP OMEN laptop pairs a 17.3 inch IPS panel at 2560 x 1440 resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate. It is built for gamers who want smooth motion and sharp detail in a portable chassis. The screen runs at 16:9 and covers the standard sRGB gamut for accurate colour in games and media.

Ryzen AI 9 365 and RTX 5070 Upgrade

This model steps up from earlier OMEN units that used previous-generation Ryzen 7 or RTX 40-series graphics. The jump is worth it when you need the 10-core, 20-thread Zen 5 CPU and the 8GB GDDR7 RTX 5070 for modern titles at QHD. The 5 GHz boost clock and 24MB L3 cache reduce compile times and frame-time variance.

16GB DDR5 and 512GB NVMe Headroom

The 16GB DDR5 SO-DIMM handles current AAA games and multitasking with headroom for background streams and voice chat. The 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD loads levels quickly but fills fast with large install sizes; expect to add external storage for a deep library. The 83 WHr battery and 230W adapter support several hours of mixed use away from a wall outlet.

Questions about this item

Will the 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD be enough for modern games, or do I need to add storage?

The 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD holds the OS and a handful of large titles; most buyers add a second NVMe drive for a bigger library.

Can the 16GB DDR5 SO-DIMM memory be upgraded later?

The laptop uses DDR5 SO-DIMM modules; check the service manual for slot count and maximum supported capacity before buying extra sticks.

Does the 230W power supply and 83 WHr battery support extended unplugged gaming?

The 230W adapter powers the RTX 5070 at full load, while the 83 WHr battery gives several hours of light use but much less during heavy 3D workloads.
