HP OmniBook 5 16-cd0055cl Overview

The HP OmniBook 5 16-cd0055cl is a 16-inch touchscreen laptop powered by an Intel Core Ultra 5 322 processor with a 46 TOPS NPU. It runs Windows 11 Home and includes 16 GB of DDR5-5600 memory and a 1 TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD. The 1920 x 1200 IPS display covers the full sRGB gamut at 300 nits. A 68 Wh battery and 65 W USB-C GaN adapter handle power.

Ideal Users and Limits

This device suits professionals who need on-device AI acceleration for Copilot+ features and a colour-accurate touchscreen for content review. The 16 GB of soldered memory cannot be upgraded, so buyers who anticipate heavier multitasking workloads should look elsewhere. The integrated Intel graphics limit 3D rendering and gaming performance. Only two USB-C and two USB-A ports are available for peripherals.

Deciding Specification

The 46 TOPS Intel AI Boost NPU is the single specification that determines whether this laptop meets your workflow. If your applications rely on local AI inference for real-time captioning, translation or image generation, this hardware delivers. Without that requirement, the NPU capacity remains unused and a different configuration may better match your budget.
