16-inch 2K OLED touchscreen laptop

The HP OmniBook 7 16 combines a 16.0-inch OLED panel at 2048 x 1280 resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate and multitouch support. An Intel Core 9 270H 14-core processor and 64GB DDR5 5600 memory drive demanding workloads. The 1 TB PCIe Gen 4x4 NVMe M.2 SSD provides fast storage for large projects. Windows 11 Home ships pre-installed.

Cooling and power in daily use

A 4-cell 70 Wh lithium-ion polymer battery powers the system through typical sessions. Integrated Intel Graphics keep thermal output moderate during standard productivity tasks. The fan profile stays quiet for office work and media playback. Power draw scales with the 5.8 GHz maximum turbo frequency when heavy loads arrive.

Build integration and expansion

Thunderbolt 4 and two USB-C ports at 10 Gbps plus two USB-A ports cover modern peripherals without dongles. HDMI 2.1 drives external displays at high refresh rates. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 handle wireless connectivity. The 5 MP IR camera with privacy shutter supports secure login. The chassis measures 14.09 x 10.03 x 0.59 inches and weighs 4.3 lbs.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 1 TB PCIe Gen 4x4 NVMe M.2 SSD and what step is often missed?

The drive slots into the M.2 connector at a slight angle, then secures with a single screw; the step people forget is pushing it fully home before tightening so the notch seats completely.

What maintenance will the 64 GB DDR5 5600 MHz memory need later?

The memory is soldered to the board and not user-replaceable, so no module swaps are required; only keep vents clear of dust to maintain thermal headroom for the 14-core processor.

What limit appears first on the 16 inch 2K OLED 120 Hz panel during sustained HDR at 500 nits?

The OLED panel will hit its automatic brightness limiter after several minutes of full-screen HDR, dimming to protect the organic layer and keep temperatures within the 70 Wh battery thermal envelope.
