17.3-inch touchscreen laptop

The HP OmniBook X 17-dd0057nr is a 17.3-inch touchscreen laptop built around an Intel Core Ultra 7 256V processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU with 6 GB GDDR6 dedicated memory. It ships with 16 GB LPDDR5x-8533 MT/s RAM and a 1 TB NVMe SSD running Windows 11 Home. The FHD IPS panel delivers 400 nits brightness and 100% sRGB coverage behind edge-to-edge glass.

Upgrade from integrated graphics

This configuration replaces systems that rely on integrated graphics for creative work or moderate gaming, adding a discrete RTX 4050 GPU for hardware-accelerated rendering and higher frame rates. The jump is worthwhile when applications can use the 6 GB GDDR6 frame buffer and the NPU in the Core Ultra 7 256V for AI-assisted tasks. Buyers who need more than 16 GB of soldered memory or multiple internal storage drives should consider a different chassis.

Sustained load behaviour

Under continuous load the 100-watt AC adapter feeds both the CPU, which can reach 4.8 GHz with Turbo Boost, and the discrete GPU through a shared thermal solution. The 6-cell lithium-ion battery supports extended unplugged sessions while Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 maintain connectivity. Thunderbolt 4 and two 10 Gbps USB-C ports provide high-bandwidth I/O for external storage or displays without throttling the internal PCIe NVMe SSD.
