What this laptop is and who it suits

The HP OmniBook X Flip is a 16 inch 2 in 1 convertible with a 1920 x 1200 IPS touchscreen. It runs Windows 11 Home on an Intel Ultra 7 256V processor with 16GB DDR5 memory and a 2TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Arc 140V graphics handle everyday visual tasks and light creative work.

Sustained load behaviour

The 8 core 14 thread Ultra 7 256V reaches up to 4.8 GHz with 12MB cache for multi threaded workloads. Under continuous demand the 45 watt power adapter supplies the platform while the 3 cell battery provides mobility. The DDR5 memory and NVMe storage keep data flowing during extended compile render or analysis sessions.

Thermals noise and power draw

The slim 0.65 inch chassis at 4.43 lb uses a fan cooled design that stays quiet during typical office browsing and video calls. Surface temperatures remain comfortable on the palm rests during light use. The 45 watt adapter recharges the battery efficiently while the system idles at low power between tasks.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the 15th Gen Ultra 7-256V get when the 45-watt AC adapter is running it all day?

The 45-watt AC adapter supplies the 15th Gen Ultra 7-256V and Intel Arc 140V graphics; typical office workloads keep fan noise low and surface temperatures warm but comfortable on a desk.

Which cables and peripherals must I already own to use the 2 x USB-C 3.1, 2 x USB-A 3.0 and HDMI 2.1 ports?

You need USB-C 3.1 cables for the two USB-C ports, USB-A 3.0 cables or devices for the two USB-A ports, and an HDMI 2.1 cable for external displays.

Will the Intel Arc 140V and Wi-Fi 7 work with my older 802.11ac router and Bluetooth 5.0 headphones?

Yes, Wi-Fi 7 is backward compatible with 802.11ac routers, and Bluetooth 7 supports Bluetooth 5.0 headphones without extra setup.
