HP Poly Blackwire 8225 USB-C Headset

The HP Poly Blackwire 8225 is a wired on-ear headset certified for Microsoft Teams. It connects via USB-C and delivers stereo sound with a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The binaural design covers both ears for focused audio in office or remote work environments. Model 772K5AA is supplied new in black.

Check USB-C port and Teams compatibility

Verify that your computer or device has an available USB-C port for the wired connection. Ensure the operating system supports Microsoft Teams certification features for call controls and presence sync. The 7.10 ft cable length should reach your workstation without strain or the need for an extension. No additional drivers are typically required for basic audio and microphone function.

On-ear comfort with noise-cancelling microphone

The supra-aural earcups rest on the ears with an over-the-head band for stable all-day wear. An omni-directional boom microphone features noise-cancelling technology to reduce background sound during calls. Inline controls on the cable allow quick mute, volume and call answer actions. The wired USB-C link avoids battery charging and wireless interference.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the HP Poly Blackwire 8225 headset, and what must I buy separately?

The headset includes the on-ear unit with a fixed 7.10 ft USB-C cable and an inline controller for call management. No separate adapter or audio cable is required for USB-C devices.

How do I choose between the available versions of the Blackwire 8225?

This model 772K5AA is the Microsoft Teams certified variant with a USB-C connection. Select it if you need native Teams integration; other SKUs may offer USB-A or non-certified versions.

What does the 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response mean for daily calls and music?

It covers the full range of human hearing, so voices sound natural and music retains bass and treble detail during conferences or multimedia playback.
