Desk phone with 24 SIP lines

The HP Poly CCX 505 is a corded VoIP telephone built for offices that need many simultaneous registrations. It supports 24 SIP lines and presents them on a 5 inch colour touchscreen. Integrated Wi-Fi allows placement where Ethernet cabling is difficult. The handset and desk stand are included in the box.

Gigabit Ethernet with PoE class 0

Two RJ-45 ports provide 10/100/1000 Mbps connectivity for LAN and PC pass-through. The phone draws up to 13 W through IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet class 0, so a separate power supply is not required. Link negotiation follows IEEE 802.3 clauses 28 and 40 for broad switch compatibility.

USB-A and USB-C for peripherals

One USB 2.0 Type-A and one USB 2.0 Type-C port accept headsets, storage or an expansion module. Security features include 802.1X authentication, SRTP media encryption and HTTPS provisioning. Management is handled through Poly Lens, Zero Touch Provisioning or the web interface. The unit weighs 2.850 lbs and ships with a CAT-5E cable.

Questions about this item

How many SIP registrations does the CCX 505 support?

The phone handles 24 SIP registrations, so you can configure up to 24 separate lines or identities on one device.

What does the 13 W maximum power draw mean for my PoE switch?

The phone draws up to 13 W over IEEE 802.3af PoE, so any standard Class 0 PoE port will supply enough power without a separate adapter.

What speed do the two RJ-45 ports actually deliver?

Both RJ-45 ports run at 10/100/1000 Mbps, giving you a gigabit uplink to the network and a gigabit pass-through for a PC.
