HP Poly Edge B20 IP Phone
The HP Poly Edge B20 is a corded VoIP telephone designed for desktop or wall-mountable placement in professional environments. It provides two-line visibility with support for up to eight line key assignments through pagination, making it suitable for staff handling multiple calls or shared extensions.
Thermals noise and power
The phone operates silently with no moving parts and draws power directly through Power over Ethernet, removing the need for a separate mains adapter. A single network cable delivers both data and electrical power, simplifying cabling and reducing desk clutter for daily use.
Build quality and connectors
The black handset includes dedicated RJ9 and 3.5 mm headset ports for flexible headset choices, plus dual RJ-45 ports forming a 10/100 Base-TX switch for LAN and PC pass-through. Illuminated keys give clear status indication for mute, speakerphone and headset modes during calls.

Questions about this item
How do I install the phone on a wall, and which step do people often miss?
Use the integrated wall-mount bracket on the back; the step often missed is routing the Ethernet cable through the cable-guide channel before snapping the handset cradle into the reversed position.
Which parts will need replacement after extended use?
The coiled handset cord and the RJ9 headset cable are the only field-replaceable items; the keypad and display are not user-serviceable.
What limit appears first during continuous heavy calling?
The 10/100 Base-TX switch ports cap throughput at 100 Mbps, so sustained high-call volumes with concurrent PC traffic hit the bandwidth ceiling before the phone’s own processing does.
