Executive VoIP desk phone

The HP Poly VVX 450 is a 12-line IP desk phone built for executives and managers who handle heavy call volumes. It supports 34 SIP registrations and features a 4.3-inch colour LCD screen. Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports provide wired network connectivity. Two USB-A 2.0 ports allow peripheral expansion.

Suited for multi-line offices, not minimal setups

This phone suits professionals who need simultaneous line appearances, customisable soft keys and a full-duplex speakerphone for conference calls. Electronic Hook Switch compatibility enables wireless headset control. Buyers who only need a single line or prefer a compact handset without expansion capability should look at simpler models.

PoE-powered desk or wall unit with expansion

The unit draws power over Ethernet, so no separate supply is required unless PoE is unavailable. Dual Ethernet ports let the phone share a single wall jack with a PC. USB ports support headsets or future accessories. VVX EM50 expansion modules can add extra line keys when call volume grows. Desk and wall mounting options keep the workspace flexible.

Questions about this item

Does the HP Poly VVX 450 89B76AA require a separate power adapter, or can it run entirely from the network cable?

The phone supports Power over Ethernet, so it can operate using only the network cable when connected to a PoE switch or injector. A separate power supply is not included and is only needed if PoE is unavailable.

Can I keep my existing RJ9 wired headset when switching to this desk phone?

Yes, the VVX 450 includes a dedicated RJ9 headset port alongside its two USB-A 2.0 ports, so your current RJ9 headset will connect directly without an adapter.

After plugging in the phone, how do I confirm that all 12 line keys and the 34 SIP registrations are active?

The 4.3-inch color LCD shows line-key labels and registration status icons for each configured SIP account, letting you verify that all 12 lines and up to 34 registrations are online at a glance.
