HP Pro 400 G9 SFF Desktop

This HP Pro 400 G9 small form factor desktop ships new with an Intel Core i7-14700 processor, 32 GB DDR5 memory and a 2 TB NVMe SSD. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed and a wired keyboard with mouse are included in the box. Intel UHD Graphics 700 handles the display output. The chassis measures 10.6 by 3.7 by 12.1 inches and weighs 9.25 lb.

Who this suits and who it does not

Office workers and home users who need strong multi-threaded CPU performance in a compact chassis will find this system a good fit. Buyers who require a discrete graphics card for gaming or GPU compute should look elsewhere. The integrated graphics cannot drive demanding 3D workloads or multiple high-refresh displays. The small form factor limits internal expansion slots and full-size add-in cards.

Deciding specification: 32 GB DDR5 memory

The platform supports up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM, so the installed 32 GB leaves room for a future upgrade if workloads grow. Confirm that your applications benefit from the current capacity before ordering. The memory type is DDR5 only; earlier DDR generations are not compatible.
