Business laptop for mobile professionals

The HP ProBook 850 G8 is a refurbished 15.6-inch Windows 11 Pro notebook powered by an Intel Core i7-1185G7 quad-core processor with 12 MB L3 cache. It ships with 32 GB of memory and a 512 GB NVMe SSD. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 non-touch display.

Suited to office productivity and multi-tasking

Buyers who need a discrete GPU for rendering, CAD or gaming should look elsewhere. The shared video memory and integrated graphics limit 3D performance. The single HDMI 2.0 output supports one external monitor; users requiring multiple external displays need a dock.

Quad-core i7-1185G7 with 32 GB RAM

The processor and memory combination determines whether this unit handles your workload. Four cores at 3.0 GHz and 32 GB of system memory define the multitasking ceiling for business applications.

Questions about this item

Will the 14.15" x 9.2" x 0.75" chassis fit in a standard 15.6" laptop sleeve?

The 14.15" x 9.2" x 0.75" dimensions match typical 15.6" ultrabook profiles, so most sleeves sized for 15.6" will accommodate the 3.7 lb unit.

Does the Intel Core i7-1185G7 require any driver installation after the Windows 11 Pro 64-bit setup?

Windows 11 Pro 64-bit includes native drivers for the Intel Core i7-1185G7 and Intel Iris Xe Graphics; the step users miss is running Windows Update to fetch the latest Thunderbolt 4 firmware.

Can the 512GB NVMe SSD be swapped for a larger drive later?

The 512GB NVMe SSD is replaceable; back up data, remove the base cover, swap the M.2 module, then reinstall Windows 11 Pro 64-bit from recovery media.
