Compact Desktop with Dual Displays

The HP ProDesk 600 G4 Mini PC delivers a complete workstation in a small black and silver chassis. An Intel Core i5-8500T processor and 16 GB of DDR3 memory run Windows 11 Pro. A 500 GB SSD provides the boot drive while a second 500 GB SATA hard drive adds capacity. Two 24-inch monitors, a wired keyboard and mouse, plus Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are included.

Suited for General Office Work

This bundle suits users who need a ready-to-use twin-screen setup for browsing, email, video calls and document editing. The 6th generation Core i5 handles everyday multitasking without noise or bulk. Buyers who require discrete graphics performance, more than 32 GB of RAM or a newer CPU architecture should look elsewhere.

Memory Type Determines Upgrade Path

The board accepts DDR3 SODIMMs in two slots with a 32 GB maximum. Installing DDR4 or any other generation will not work. Verify the existing 16 GB module is DDR3 before purchasing additional memory.

Questions about this item

How do I add a second DDR3 stick to the two SO-DIMM slots on this Mini PC?

Power off, remove the bottom cover, insert the module at an angle into the empty slot until it clicks, then replace the cover and verify 32 GB in Task Manager.

When will the 500 GB SATA SSD need replacement?

The SATA SSD has no moving parts; replace it only if SMART tools report reallocated sectors or if you need more than 500 GB of capacity.

What limits performance first during a long compile job?

The Mini PC's small heatsink saturates quickly, so the i5-8500T reduces its turbo frequency to stay within thermal limits.
