Ready for office and study workloads

The HP ProDesk 600G4 desktop pairs an Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor with 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a combined 1.5 TB of NVME plus SATA SSD storage. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed. Dual 24-inch LCD monitors, a Quadro P620 graphics card, RGB speakers, a wired keyboard and a USB mouse complete the package for immediate productivity.

Dual monitors and discrete graphics change daily use

Two 24-inch screens expand desktop space for multitasking across documents, browsers and video calls. The Quadro P620 adds dedicated video memory for smoother multi-monitor rendering and hardware-accelerated apps. RGB speakers and the wired peripherals remove the need for separate audio or input purchases.

LGA 1151 platform caps future upgrades

The motherboard uses the LGA 1151 socket and supports a maximum of 64 GB DDR4 across four slots, so memory expansion stops at double the current 32 GB. CPU upgrades are limited to 8th and 9th generation Intel Core processors that share the same socket. Storage can grow only through additional SATA drives or an extra NVME slot if the board provides one.

Questions about this item

When will the 32 GB DDR4 module need to be upgraded to reach the 64 GB maximum?

The board has four DDR4 slots and one 32 GB stick installed, so three slots remain free for future expansion up to 64 GB total.

What limits the Core i7-8700 during long rendering sessions?

The 8700 processor will reach its thermal ceiling before the chassis airflow can remove additional heat under sustained multi-core loads.

How loud and hot does the system get with both 24 inch monitors and the Quadro P620 running all day?

The small-form-factor chassis keeps fan noise low at idle, but sustained GPU and CPU work raises internal temperatures and fan speed noticeably.
