HP ProDesk G2 Gaming RGB Desktop

This HP ProDesk G2 is a small-form-factor desktop built around a 6th Generation Intel Core i5-6500 processor running at 3.2 GHz up to 3.6 GHz. It ships with 16GB DDR4 memory, a 512GB SSD, and a 2TB HDD. The NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 graphics card provides 2GB DDR5 video memory. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed, and a wired RGB keyboard and mouse are included.

Suits entry-level gaming and general productivity

This system suits buyers wanting a compact tower for 1080p gaming at modest settings, office work, or media streaming. The 16GB DDR4 and dual-drive layout give quick boot times and ample storage. It is not for buyers who need modern high-refresh-rate competitive gaming, heavy video editing, or workloads that require a newer CPU architecture or more powerful discrete graphics.

Check your setup before ordering

Verify that your monitor has a DisplayPort or HDMI input to match the GT 1030 outputs. Ensure you have desk space for a small-form-factor chassis and wired peripherals. Confirm that 16GB DDR4 meets your application needs, noting the board supports up to 64 GB if you plan to upgrade. The unit includes a Wi-Fi adapter, so no Ethernet cable is required for wireless networks.

Questions about this item

Does this desktop include a monitor, or must I already own a DisplayPort-compatible display?

The system ships without a monitor; it provides DisplayPort ports that support 4K output, so you need a display with a DisplayPort input or a suitable adapter.

Will the 16 GB DDR4 memory work with the existing 64 GB maximum capacity if I add more modules later?

The board supports up to 64 GB of DDR4, so the installed 16 GB leaves three slots or higher-capacity modules available for future expansion.

How can I verify the GT 1030 is active after installing Windows 10 Pro?

Open Device Manager, expand Display adapters, and confirm NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 appears without a warning icon; the NVIDIA control panel will also report 2 GB DDR5 video memory.
