HP ProDesk G2 RGB Gaming Desktop

This HP ProDesk G2 is a small-form-factor desktop built around a 3.40 GHz Intel Core i7-6700 processor. It ships with Windows 10 Pro installed and includes a wired RGB keyboard and mouse. The system targets buyers who want a compact, ready-to-play machine for 1080p gaming and everyday multitasking without assembling parts themselves.

16 GB DDR4 with 64 GB ceiling and dual storage

The 16 GB of DDR4 memory handles modern games and background apps comfortably, while the motherboard supports up to 64 GB for future expansion. A 1 TB SSD provides fast boot and load times, and a 2 TB hard drive adds bulk capacity for media libraries. The AMD Radeon RX 550 with 4 GB DDR5 VRAM runs esports titles at high settings but reaches its limit in newer AAA games at ultra detail.

SFF chassis with DisplayPort 4K and USB 3.0

The slim case fits tight desk spaces and uses an internal power supply, so no external brick is required. DisplayPort output drives 4K displays for media or productivity, while USB 3.0 ports move large files quickly. A Wi-Fi adapter is included for wireless networking. Builders needing a full-size graphics card, additional drive bays or a higher-wattage power supply will find the small form factor restrictive.

Questions about this item

Will the i7-6700 desktop recognise my existing DDR4 memory if I add it to the two spare slots?

The motherboard supports up to 64 GB of DDR4 so your existing modules will work provided they are DDR4.

How can I confirm the RX 550 4 GB graphics card is running correctly after I connect a monitor?

Open Device Manager in Windows 10 Pro and verify the Radeon RX 550 appears without errors, then run a game or benchmark to check 3D performance.

Does the package include a monitor or only the tower with wired keyboard and mouse?

The box contains the desktop tower, a wired RGB keyboard, a wired mouse and a remote for the lighting; a monitor is not included.
