It ships with two Xeon E5-2630 v3 eight-core processors running at 2.4GHz, providing 16 physical cores and 32 threads. The system includes 64GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory installed across 16 DIMM slots and features redundant hot-swap power supplies for high availability.

Suited for virtualisation

This server fits organisations running virtualised workloads, cloud infrastructure or general-purpose applications that benefit from dual-socket performance in a compact form factor. The H240 controller supports RAID 0, 1 and 5 across eight 2.5-inch SFF drive bays, using 12Gb SAS and 6Gb SATA connectivity. Buyers who require GPU acceleration, more than 36 total cores or persistent memory support should evaluate alternative platforms.

Maximum memory capacity of 1TB with 16 DIMM slots

The platform supports up to 1TB of DDR4 memory when fully populated with compatible 64GB modules across all 16 slots. Current configuration provides 64GB, leaving headroom for future expansion. Memory operates at speeds up to 2400MT/s depending on processor capability, and the C610 chipset manages dual-processor memory interleaving.
