1U rack server with a 12-core Xeon at 2.3 GHz, 32 GB DDR4, H240ar controller supporting RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60, and eight 2.5-inch drive bays
The HP ProLiant DL360 G9 is a 1U rack server built for space-constrained environments. It runs a single Intel Xeon E5-2670v3 twelve-core processor at 2.3GHz with 32GB of DDR4 memory. Dual 500W redundant power supplies provide continuous operation. The Smart HBA H240ar controller manages eight SFF drive bays with RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60 support.
This server suits workloads that demand high core counts in a single rack unit, such as virtualisation hosts or database nodes. The installed CPU delivers 24 virtual threads through hyperthreading. Buyers who need more than 32GB of memory out of the box should plan additional DIMMs, as the current configuration uses only a fraction of the 24 available slots. Organisations requiring GPU acceleration will find only the integrated Matrox G200 with 16MB video memory.
The installed 32GB of DDR4 can be expanded across 24 DIMM slots to a platform maximum of 3TB when a second processor is added. The eight 2.5-inch SFF bays set the physical limit for internal SAS or SATA drives, and the H240ar controller connects them at 12Gb SAS or 6Gb SATA speeds.
