The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 fits a single Intel Xeon E5-2620v3 six-core processor at 2.4 GHz with 32 GB of DDR4 ECC memory. Eight 146 GB 15 K SAS drives connect through a Smart HBA H240ar controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Dual 500 W hot-swap power supplies provide redundancy in a 1U chassis.

Suited for Compute-Heavy Tasks, Not Maximum Memory

This configuration serves virtualisation hosts, database nodes or high-performance computing clusters that benefit from fast 15 K spindles and a second processor socket for future expansion. Buyers who need the full 3 TB memory ceiling or more than eight drive bays should look at a larger platform. The integrated Matrox G200 graphics only covers basic console output.

One six-core Xeon E5-2620v3 at 2.4 GHz is populated; the second socket remains empty for a matching upgrade. The board offers 24 DDR4 DIMM slots, twelve per processor, with installed memory running at speeds the CPU supports. Adding the second processor unlocks the remaining slots and doubles core count.
