The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 occupies a single rack unit and ships with one Intel Xeon E5-2643 v3 six-core processor running at 3.4 GHz. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR4 ECC registered memory are installed across the 24 DIMM slots, with twelve slots allocated to each processor socket. Two hot-swap 500 W power supplies provide redundant power for continuous operation.

Suited for memory-limited workloads

This configuration fits environments that need dense compute in a 1U form factor with redundant power and hardware RAID. Buyers who require the full 3 TB memory ceiling or dual-processor performance from day one should look at a differently populated chassis. The single CPU and 32 GB limit also rule out heavily virtualised or in-memory database deployments.

Eight 2.5-inch drive bays with H240ar RAID

The front panel holds eight small-form-factor bays ready for SAS or SATA drives. The integrated Smart HBA H240ar controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across 12 Gb/s SAS and 6 Gb/s SATA links. No drives are included, so storage capacity and performance depend entirely on the disks selected.
