Dual Xeon E5-2643 v3 3.4 GHz 1U rack server with 32 GB DDR4, H240ar RAID and redundant 500 W power
The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 fits a dual-socket Intel Xeon E5-2643 v3 configuration into a single rack unit. Two six-core processors running at 3.4 GHz provide 24 threads for multi-tenant applications. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR4 ECC registered memory are installed across the 24 DIMM slots. The Smart HBA H240ar controller manages up to eight 2.5-inch SFF drive bays with RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 support.
Dual 500 W hot-swap power supplies share the load and maintain operation if one unit fails. The C610 chipset and 24 DIMM slots allow memory expansion to the processor limit without reducing clock speed. Eight drive bays connect through a 12 Gb SAS and 6 Gb SATA backplane so storage throughput scales with the array rather than the controller. The Matrox G200 graphics core with 16 MB video memory handles remote management consoles without taxing the CPUs.
Verify that your rack provides standard 1U mounting depth and airflow clearance for front-to-rear cooling. Confirm the operating system you plan to install supports the Xeon E5 v3 family and the H240ar RAID driver stack. Ensure any additional DDR4 modules you purchase are ECC registered and rated for 2400 MT/s to match the installed memory. Check that your storage drives are 2.5-inch SAS or SATA models compatible with the eight SFF bays.

Other versions of this model
Each supply is rated at 500W and the pair operates in redundant mode, so sustained draw depends on workload but will not exceed the 500W capacity of a single unit.
The chassis includes 8 drive trays with screws; the H240ar controller provides 12Gb SAS and 6Gb SATA connectivity, so standard SFF SAS or SATA drives fit directly.
Yes, the integrated Matrox G200 provides basic VGA output for installation and management; it does not affect CPU compute performance.
