1U rack server with dual 500W supplies, one Xeon E5-2620 v3 at 2.4GHz, 128GB DDR4 and B140i SATA RAID across 8 SFF bays
Installed Memory Size 128GB
HDD None
The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 fits a single Intel Xeon E5-2620 v3 six-core processor at 2.4GHz with 128GB of DDR4 ECC memory across 24 DIMM slots. Dual 500W hot-swap power supplies provide redundancy in a 1U chassis. The B140i controller supports SATA RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 for up to eight 2.5-inch drive bays. Matrox G200 graphics with 16MB video memory handles basic display output.
This configuration targets environments that need dense compute with SATA-only storage and software RAID. Buyers who require hardware RAID with cache, SAS drive support, or more than two processors should look at a different platform. The 128GB installed memory already reaches the listed maximum capacity, so no further memory expansion is possible without replacing modules. No operating system or drives are included.
The storage controller handles RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 exclusively for SATA drives connected to the eight small form factor bays. It does not support SAS or other drive interfaces. If the deployment needs hardware RAID acceleration, cache protection, or SAS connectivity, this server will not meet that requirement. All other specifications scale around this storage limitation.

Other versions of this model
During POST the B140i option ROM displays the RAID 0, 1, 5 or 10 array status; the OS then sees a single logical drive per array.
Only the two empty trays and screws ship with the server; all 2.5-inch SATA drives and extra trays must be purchased separately.
You can populate remaining slots with 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB DDR4-2400 ECC registered modules; total per CPU cannot exceed 128 GB.
