The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 fits a single Intel Xeon E5-2640 v3 processor with eight cores at 2.6 GHz and 16 virtual threads. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR4 ECC registered memory occupy two of the 24 available DIMM slots. Dual 500 W redundant hot-swap power supplies support continuous operation in a compact form factor.

Storage capacity and RAID flexibility

Two 300 GB 15 K SAS drives provide 600 GB of high-speed capacity for operating systems or active datasets. The Smart HBA H240ar controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across the four 3.5-inch drive bays. Memory headroom reaches 3 TB when both processor sockets are populated with 64 GB modules at 2400 MT/s.

Single-socket configuration limits future CPU

Only one processor is installed, leaving the second socket empty for later upgrades to a maximum of 36 total cores. Buyers who need dual-processor performance immediately should look elsewhere. The Matrox G200 graphics subsystem serves basic management console output only.
