HP Standard Duty Cash Drawer

The HP QT457AT#ABA cash drawer is built for retailers and hospitality operators who need a reliable, space-saving till at the point of sale. Its durable steel construction and compact footprint suit counter tops where space is constrained but transaction volume remains steady. Dual media slots add extra storage beneath the coin tray for receipts or vouchers. A three-position lock lets staff choose locked open, online or manual operation.

HP POS printer interface cable connection

The drawer connects through an HP POS printer interface cable to a compatible HP POS printer or directly to the integrated cash drawer port on the HP rp5800 Retail System. This wired link means the drawer will not operate with printers or systems that lack the specific HP interface. Buyers using non-HP printers or USB-only POS terminals cannot use this drawer without an approved adapter. No wireless or network triggering is supported.

Compatibility with RP3 3100, RP7 and 7800 systems

The unit is specified for the RP3 Retail System 3100, the RP7 Retail System and the 7800 series. If the target POS hardware is not one of these models, the drawer may not fit or communicate correctly. Shoppers deploying other HP or third-party retail platforms should verify compatibility before purchase.
