23.8" 100 Hz IPS business panel

The HP Series 3 Pro 23.8" is a 1920 x 1080 monitor with a 100 Hz IPS panel, 5 ms grey-to-grey response time and 250 nits brightness. It includes HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.2 and a fully adjustable stand with tilt. The unit is sold refurbished.

Office users and light home work

This screen suits office workers, students and home users who want a higher refresh rate for smoother scrolling and video playback. It does not suit competitive gamers who need faster response times or creative professionals who require wider colour gamut coverage or hardware calibration.

100 Hz refresh rate

The 100 Hz figure is the specification that decides if this panel meets the need for noticeably smoother motion compared with standard fixed-refresh screens. If the workload demands a higher refresh rate or adaptive sync, a different panel will be required.

Questions about this item

Will the 250 nits brightness hold steady during an all-day session?

The panel is rated at 250 nits brightness; sustained output will depend on ambient temperature and the monitor’s internal thermal management.

How loud or hot does the 23.8" IPS unit get after hours at 100 Hz?

The monitor has no built-in speakers or active cooling, so it runs silently; surface warmth is typical for an IPS panel at 100 Hz but stays within normal operating limits.

Which video cable do I need to drive 1920 x 1080 at 100 Hz on this model?

Use the included DisplayPort 1.2 or HDMI 1.4 connection; both support the full 100 Hz refresh rate at 1920 x 1080 resolution.
