Portable 2.3x3.4" Photo Printer

The HP Sprocket Select Portable Photo Printer in Eclipse produces glossy 2.3x3.4 inch sticky-backed photos that are 30% larger than the original Sprocket model. It connects to iOS or Android smartphones and tablets via Bluetooth for wireless printing. The companion HP Sprocket app provides exclusive designer features, frames, filters, and augmented reality content. This compact device is designed for creating and sharing physical memories on the go.

Zink Paper Setup and App Pairing

The printer uses Zink Zero Ink technology, so there are no ink cartridges or toner to install; you only load the specific 2.3x3.4 inch Zink photo paper packs. Pairing requires downloading the free HP Sprocket app and connecting via Bluetooth, which is usually straightforward. Issues can arise if the paper is loaded incorrectly or if the smartphone's Bluetooth permissions are not granted to the app. Keeping the app updated helps avoid connectivity drops.

Device Compatibility and Paper Supply

Before ordering, confirm your smartphone or tablet runs a compatible version of iOS or Android supported by the HP Sprocket app. Verify you have a ready supply of the correct 2.3x3.4 inch Zink sticky-backed photo paper, as other paper sizes or types will not work. Ensure you have a way to charge the printer's internal battery via USB for portable use. Buyers who need larger print formats or non-sticky paper should consider a different class of printer.
