HP Stream 14 laptop

This 14.0 inch laptop runs Windows 11 in S mode on an Intel Celeron N4120 processor with 4 MB L3 cache. It includes 8GB of memory and a 64GB SSD, plus a 32GB USB card in the box. The HD BrightView display has a 1366 x 768 resolution and micro-edge bezels. It is aimed at students and home users who need a thin, light machine for web browsing, document editing and video calls.

Before ordering

Confirm that Windows 11 S mode suits your workflow because it only allows apps from the Microsoft Store unless you switch out of S mode. Check that the 64GB SSD and 8GB of non-upgradeable memory meet your storage and multitasking needs. Verify that the two USB 3.0 Type A ports and one USB 3.0 Type-C port cover your peripheral requirements. Ensure Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth connectivity are sufficient for your network environment.

Upgrade considerations

This model replaces an older 11 inch or 14 inch laptop with slower eMMC storage, less memory or a lower resolution screen. The jump is worth it when you need the 1.1 GHz base and 2.6 GHz burst frequencies of the N4120 for smoother office tasks. It also adds a 720p webcam with integrated microphone for clearer video meetings. The included one-year Microsoft 365 Personal subscription adds value for productivity users.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and what must I buy separately?

The box contains the 14.0 inch Stream laptop, its power adapter and a 32 GB USB card. The 1 year Microsoft 365 Personal subscription is activated online. No other accessories are included.

Which storage version should I choose for this Stream 14?

This model has a single 64 GB eMMC drive. There is no larger capacity option for this SKU, so the choice is already made.

How does the 1.1 GHz base and 2.6 GHz burst speed feel in daily use?

The Celeron N4120 handles web browsing, document editing and video calls smoothly. Heavier multitasking or large media files will feel slower because the 8 GB RAM and shared graphics limit headroom.
