15.6-inch FHD 144 Hz gaming laptop

The HP Victus pairs an Intel Core i5-13420H eight-core processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU carrying 6 GB GDDR6 memory. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 and a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD handle modern titles and multitasking. Windows 11 Home comes pre-installed on the 15.6-inch IPS panel running at 1920 x 1080 and 144 Hz.

Bundled USB flash drive and backlit keyboard

A USB flash drive is included for recovery or extra portable storage. The backlit keyboard improves visibility in low-light sessions. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 provide current wireless standards. Ports include two USB 3.0 Type-A with sleep-and-charge, one USB 3.2 Type-C, HDMI 2.1, RJ-45 Ethernet and a combo audio jack.

Standard laptop setup with driver checks

Windows 11 Home boots to an out-of-box experience that only requires user-account creation and network connection. HP Support Assistant prompts for BIOS and driver updates; skipping them can leave the RTX 4050 on generic Microsoft drivers and reduce 144 Hz panel performance. The 720p webcam and micro-edge anti-glare display work immediately after the first update cycle.

Questions about this item

Can the 16 GB DDR4 memory be upgraded later?

The laptop uses DDR4 SO-DIMM slots; one 16 GB module is installed, leaving a second slot free for expansion up to the platform maximum.

Will the 144 Hz IPS panel hit its 45 % NTSC colour limit during long gaming sessions?

The screen covers 45 % NTSC at 300 nits; colour volume does not change with sustained load, so the limit is constant from the first minute.

How loud do the fans get when the RTX 4050 and i5-13420H run at full tilt for hours?

Under continuous maximum load the dual-fan cooling keeps component temperatures in check; acoustic output rises to a noticeable but typical gaming-laptop level.
