HP Victus 15 gaming laptop

The HP Victus 15 is a 15.6-inch gaming laptop built around an Intel Core i5-13420H 8-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 6GB GDDR6 GPU. It ships with 32GB DDR5 memory and a 512GB PCIe SSD. Windows 11 Home and an Office 2024 licence are pre-installed.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Buyers who want a 144Hz FHD display, 32GB memory and a 6GB RTX 4050 in a 5.1-pound chassis will find this configuration ready for current titles. Those who need a higher colour gamut than 45% NTSC, a fingerprint reader, or more than 512GB of factory storage should consider other models.

The specification that decides fit

The single figure that determines whether this is the right part is the 6GB RTX 4050 GPU paired with a 144Hz 15.6-inch panel; if your workload needs more video memory or a faster refresh rate, this unit will not match.

Questions about this item

Will the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port at 10Gbps charge my older phone when the laptop is off?

Yes, the Type-C port supports Power-off Charging so it can deliver power to a phone or other device even when the laptop is shut down.

How can I confirm the 144Hz panel is actually running at 144Hz after I set up Windows 11?

Open Settings > System > Display > Advanced display and verify the refresh rate dropdown shows 144Hz for the built-in 15.6" FHD screen.
