Raider 15.6 144Hz laptop for gamers

The HP Victus 15 Raider pairs a 15.6 inch FHD panel at 144 Hz with an AMD Ryzen 5 8645HS six-core processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 graphics. It targets players who want smooth 1080p gameplay and a responsive desktop experience in a single portable chassis. Windows 11 Pro and an Office 2024 license ship pre-installed.

32GB DDR5 and 2TB PCIe headroom

Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR5 memory and a two-terabyte PCIe SSD give ample space for modern titles, large texture packs and background applications. The 6 GB GDDR6 frame buffer on the RTX 4050 becomes the limiting factor when texture quality is pushed to ultra at native 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Thermals and acoustics under load

The 0.93 inch profile houses a cooling solution that manages the 4.30 GHz base clock and 5.0 GHz boost without excessive fan noise during typical gaming sessions. Power draw rises with the 6-core CPU and RTX 4050 under sustained load, so surface temperatures near the rear vents become noticeable after extended play.

Questions about this item

Will the 15.6 inch 144 Hz FHD display and HDMI port let me keep using my older 1080p external monitor?

The built-in panel is a 15.6 inch FHD screen at 144 Hz. An HDMI port is included, so you can connect an external 1080p monitor and run both screens at their native resolutions.

How can I confirm the Ryzen 5 8645HS and RTX 4050 6 GB GDDR6 are running at their listed speeds after setup?

Open Task Manager and check the Performance tab — the CPU should show 6 cores, 12 threads and a base clock of 4.30 GHz with a 5.0 GHz turbo, while the GPU lists 6 GB GDDR6 memory.

What accessories ship in the box and what must I buy separately for the 32 GB DDR5 and 2 TB PCIe SSD configuration?

The laptop arrives with the 32 GB DDR5 memory and 2 TB PCIe SSD already installed, plus a power adapter. No optical drive, fingerprint reader or additional cables are included.
