Raider Black 15.6 gaming laptop

The HP Victus 15 Raider Black is a 15.6 inch gaming laptop built around an Intel Core i5 13th Gen 8 core processor with a 4.6 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 32GB DDR4 memory and a 1TB PCIe SSD running Windows 11 Home. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU with 6GB GDDR6 handles modern titles at the native 1920 x 1080 resolution.

144Hz FHD display and port layout

The 15.6 inch non touch FHD panel runs at 144Hz for smooth motion in competitive games. Connectivity includes two USB Type A 5Gbps ports, one USB Type C 5Gbps port, HDMI, RJ45 Ethernet and a headphone microphone combo jack. A backlit keyboard and integrated webcam support late night sessions and streaming without extra peripherals.

RTX 4050 6GB GDDR6 graphics

The single specification that decides suitability is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU with 6GB GDDR6 video memory. It determines which titles run at high settings on the 144Hz panel and whether the laptop meets the graphical workload you have in mind.

Questions about this item

Will the 15.6 inch 144Hz screen work with an external monitor through the HDMI port?

Yes, the HDMI port supports an external display alongside the built-in 1920 x 1080 panel.

Does the 1TB PCIe SSD leave room for a second drive if I need more storage later?

The specifications list only the single 1TB PCIe SSD and no HDD bay, so a second internal drive cannot be added.

Is the 32GB DDR4 memory soldered or can I upgrade it myself?

The 32GB DDR4 is installed in slots and can be upgraded, though the chassis must be opened to reach them.
