HP Victus 15 Raider gaming laptop

The HP Victus 15 Raider is a 15.6 inch gaming laptop built around an Intel Core i5 13420H 8-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 GPU with 6GB GDDR6 video memory. It ships with 32GB DDR4 system memory and a 512GB PCIe SSD running Windows 11 Home. The 144Hz FHD anti-glare display targets players who want smooth motion in competitive titles.

Check your setup before ordering

The laptop uses a 14.09 x 10.04 x 0.93 inch chassis weighing 5.1 pounds, so verify your bag or sleeve fits those dimensions. It includes a 720p webcam, MediaTek Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless peripherals, plus a 10/100/1000Mbps LAN port for wired networks. Confirm your external monitors can use the HDMI 2.1 output and that your USB devices match the three 10Gbps Type-A and Type-C ports.

Build quality and daily connectors

The black plastic shell houses a full-size backlit keyboard with numpad and a multi-format SD card reader for quick media transfers. One USB-C and one USB-A port support power-off charging so phones can top up while the laptop sleeps. The HDMI 2.1 jack drives high-refresh external displays, and the coaxial power jack keeps the barrel connector secure during desk use.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the HP Victus 15 Raider and what must I buy separately?

The laptop includes a 15.6 inch FHD 144Hz display, Intel Core i5-13420H processor, RTX 4050 6GB graphics, 32GB DDR4 memory, 512GB PCIe SSD, Windows 11 Home, backlit keyboard, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, 720p webcam and power adapter. No extra parts are required for operation.

Which configuration of the Victus 15 Raider should I choose for 1080p gaming?

This single SKU pairs an 8-core i5-13420H at 2.3 GHz base and 4.6 GHz turbo with the RTX 4050 6GB GDDR6 GPU, 32GB DDR4 RAM and a 512GB PCIe SSD. The 144Hz panel and 12-thread CPU suit high-refresh 1080p play without further upgrades.

What does the 144Hz screen rating mean once the laptop is running games?

The 15.6 inch anti-glare panel refreshes at 144Hz, so motion stays smooth at frame rates up to 144 fps. Combined with the RTX 4050 6GB and i5-13420H, most modern titles at 1920 x 1080 reach high frame rates that the display can fully show.
