HP Victus TG02 desktop with Core i5-12400

This new HP Victus TG02 desktop computer ships with Windows 11 Pro and includes a wired keyboard and mouse. It is aimed at buyers who want a ready-to-use system for everyday productivity and 1080p gaming. The configuration pairs a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12400 processor with 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD.

Check power supply and expansion space

The chassis measures 13.27 x 6.1 x 11.71 inches and weighs 13.91 lb. Verify that your workspace can accommodate those dimensions and that the installed power supply can support any graphics card upgrade you may plan. The motherboard supports up to 64 GB of DDR5 3200 MHz RAM and up to 2 TB of PCIe NVMe M.2 storage for future expansion.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

The system uses air cooling for the 6-core CPU and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super 6 GB graphics card. Under typical mixed workloads the fans run at moderate speeds and the unit remains within standard desktop thermal limits. Power draw scales with load but stays consistent with a mid-range gaming desktop profile.

Should I choose the 8 GB DDR4 configuration or plan to upgrade to the 64 GB DDR5 limit mentioned in the highlights?

The system ships with 8 GB of DDR4 memory. The 64 GB DDR5 figure refers to a different platform variant; this motherboard uses DDR4, so any upgrade must be DDR4 modules.

What does the GTX 1660 Super 6 GB graphics card mean for actual gaming performance?

The GTX 1660 Super with 6 GB of video memory delivers solid 1080p gaming at high settings in most modern titles and supports the DisplayPort and HDMI outputs on the rear panel.
