Compact Workstation Bundle

This HP Z2 Mini G9 workstation bundle pairs a 20-core Intel Core i7-14700 processor with 32GB DDR4 memory and a 512GB NVMe SSD. The package includes a 732pk 32-inch 4K IPS monitor and an MK650 wireless keyboard and mouse set. It targets professionals who need certified application performance in a small desk footprint.

Thermals and Power in Use

The mini workstation chassis is validated through 360K hours of testing and military-standard protocols to manage heat from the 2.1 GHz base and 5.4 GHz turbo CPU. Integrated UHD Graphics 770 handles visual output without a discrete card, keeping power draw and acoustic levels low for typical office workloads. The monitor operates at 60 Hz with a 5ms response time and includes Eyesafe certification.

Upgrade Context and Limits

This bundle replaces a traditional tower workstation and separate peripherals for users who prioritise desk space and single-cable USB-C connectivity with 100W power delivery. It is not suited for buyers who require discrete graphics acceleration, expandable storage bays, or multi-GPU configurations. The fixed 32GB DDR4 capacity and mini form factor limit future memory or GPU upgrades.

Questions about this item

How is the Z2 Mini G9 installed behind the 732pk monitor, and which mounting step is often missed?

Use the VESA bracket to secure the Mini PC to the monitor's 100 mm pattern; the step often missed is connecting the USB-C cable that carries both 4K video and 100 W power delivery.

What maintenance or replacement will the MK650 keyboard and mouse need later?

The MK650 combo runs on replaceable AA batteries; swap them when the optical mouse's 5-button response or the keyboard's SilentTouch keys become inconsistent.

What limit appears first on the i7-14700 during sustained 20-core workloads?

The 2.1 GHz base clock is the first limit reached; the 5.4 GHz turbo only holds while thermal headroom remains within the low-profile chassis.
