Professional AI workstation

The HP ZBook X G1i is a 16 inch mobile workstation built for engineers and creators who need ISV certified performance. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core Ultra 9 285H processor with a dedicated NPU and NVIDIA RTX Pro 2000 graphics with 8 GB memory. The system includes 32 GB of DDR5 memory and a 1 TB SSD.

Upgrade from integrated graphics

This model replaces machines that rely on integrated graphics for 3D modeling and generative AI exploration. The discrete RTX Pro 2000 Blackwell GPU and 80 W maximum TDP make the jump worthwhile when rendering workloads exceed what integrated solutions can sustain. Buyers who need more than 64 GB maximum memory capacity should consider other configurations.

Sustained load behavior

An all aluminum chassis tested to MIL-STD 810 standards manages heat during extended rendering and AI accelerated workflows. The 120 Hz WQUXGA display maintains visual clarity throughout long sessions. Wi-Fi 7 connectivity supports stable data transfer while vPro technology enables remote management under continuous operation.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum DDR5 memory capacity this 16-inch ZBook X G1i supports?

The system accepts up to 64 GB of DDR5 memory, doubling the factory-installed 32 GB.

How do I enable the NPU-accelerated AI features in Windows 11 Pro on this Core Ultra 9 285H workstation?

Install the latest Intel NPU driver from HP support, then turn on Windows Studio Effects in Settings to offload background blur and eye contact to the NPU.

When should the MIL-STD 810 tested chassis and 80 W thermal solution be inspected or serviced?

Clean the intake vents every six months and repaste the CPU/GPU if sustained 80 W loads cause throttling after two years.
