Purpose and audience

The HPE 350 is a wireless access point built for the IEEE 802.11n standard and rated at 300 Mbit/s. It suits small businesses and enterprise sites that need reliable indoor coverage without moving to newer Wi-Fi generations.

Thermals noise and power

The unit uses three internal antennas in a fanless chassis, so it runs silently in normal operation. Power is supplied through the Ethernet connection, keeping cabling simple and heat output low for wall or ceiling mounting.

Sustained load behaviour

Under continuous client traffic the access point maintains its 300 Mbit/s link rate without active cooling. The wall-mountable and ceiling-mountable form factor lets installers position it for consistent signal distribution during extended use.

Questions about this item

How is the HPE 350 access point installed and which mounting step is often missed?

The unit is wall-mountable and ceiling-mountable. Installers often forget to secure both the wall bracket and the ceiling bracket before tightening the AP, leaving it loose on one axis.

What maintenance or replacement will the HPE 350 access point need later?

The three internal antennas are not user-replaceable, so any antenna failure requires replacing the whole access point. Firmware updates are the only routine maintenance.

What limit appears first on the HPE 350 under sustained use?

The 300 Mbit/s IEEE 802.11n throughput ceiling is reached before CPU or thermal limits, capping sustained client traffic.
