500 GB SAS laptop drive

This 2.5-inch internal hard drive delivers 500 GB of storage with a 7200 rpm spindle and a 6Gb/s SAS interface. It is built for HP P6300 and P6500 Enterprise Virtual Arrays that require dual-port SAS connectivity. The drive is new and RoHS certified.

Capacity and headroom

The 500 GB capacity suits modest dataset volumes and logging workloads inside the supported arrays. The 7200 rpm speed provides consistent throughput for sequential access patterns. It will not satisfy applications that demand larger capacities or the lower latency of solid-state media.

Hot-plug SAS build

Dual-port SAS and hot-plug capability allow drive replacement without powering down the array enclosure. The 2.5-inch small form factor fits the designated drive bays in the P6300 and P6500 systems. RoHS compliance confirms restricted substance limits are met.
