Adds two 40 Gigabit Ethernet QSFP+ ports to compatible HPE 5510 switches
The HPE JH155A adds two QSFP+ ports to compatible FlexNetwork 5510 HI switches. It provides 40 Gigabit Ethernet uplinks for data-centre and campus networks. Network engineers expanding aggregation layers use this module to increase high-speed connectivity.
Each module delivers two 40 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces using the QSFP+ form factor. The 40GBase-X protocol supports optical fibre links for long-distance runs. This port count and speed are the decisive factors when planning uplink capacity.
The module slides into an available expansion slot on the host switch without powering down the chassis. It requires a supported 5510 HI switch running compatible firmware. No additional power supply or external cabling beyond the QSFP+ transceivers is needed.
