800 GB SAS 12G enterprise SSD

The HPE 797540-001 is an 800 GB 3.5-inch SAS 12G solid-state drive built for HPE Gen10 and Gen10 Plus servers. It uses SLC NAND flash and a write-intensive, low-profile carrier design suited to high-endurance enterprise workloads.

Sustained write endurance

SLC NAND delivers consistent performance under continuous write pressure without the steep slowdown seen in consumer drives. The write-intensive rating and SAS 12G interface keep throughput stable during long database or logging sessions.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 800 GB SAS 12G drive draw during continuous operation?

The 800 GB SAS 12G enterprise SSD uses SLC NAND and a 3.5 inch form factor, which typically results in lower active power than high-capacity TLC drives under sustained write workloads.

What server backplane or controller is required for the 3.5 inch SAS 12G interface?

The drive needs a 12 Gbps SAS backplane or HBA with a 3.5 inch drive bay; it is designed for HPE Gen10 and Gen10 Plus platforms that support the WI ME LPc form factor.
